Sungai Chilling Trek
Re-living your childhood by wading through mud and water is always fun. The trip to Sungai Chilling took place on the 28th of April 2012. Leo members met up at Monash bright and early (7: 30 am is wayyy too early!) to car pool our way to SC. The trek involved crossing 6 streams holding bags over our heads, dropping slippers into strong currents, tripping over thorny vines and falling into the water with resounding splashes. 2 hours into the hike and we were there! splashing about in ice cold water has never been more pleasant. after spending an hour at the waterfall, we started the trek back and got back exhausted and drenched about 1 and a half hours later. All in all, an amazing experience and who better to share it with than all the members in Leo Club of Monash Malaysia!

Humanity week
Humanity week this semester was a larger affair than usual with an NGO fair being added to the list of events. Leo Miyuru headed the event, supported with a committee without whom this event would not have been a success.
The event consisted of a blood donation drive held in association with Pusat Darah Negara, an eye screening event (ISEC), a health screening event (NKF) and the NGO fair which was made up of four NGOs namely Pink Triangle Foundation, Women's Aid Organization, Amnesty and Change Your World.
Humanity week garnered a good response with 207 people donating blood, 98 people getting health screenings, 89 people getting eye screenings and Pink Triangle raising over RM 1900.

Orientation and Induction (24/03/12)
The orientation and induction for new members recruited in semester 1 2012 was held on the 24th of March. The event opened with Lion Nelson heading the orientation, after which Lion Irene said a few words. The induction ceremony followed and then it was onto the games! O&I was never this lively with Game masters Boon Hoe and David coming up with ridiculously ingenious games that involved lots of running and consequently lots of falls =)

Fellowship night (23rd March 2012)
"Many men do not understand that the need for fellowship is really as deep as the need for food - Joshua Liebman". Fellowship night was held on the 23rd of March on the rooftop right about the Monash library. The aim? For new Leo club members to mix and mingle with the older members and gain their footing, see where they fit in and carve their very own niche in the small but close knit community that is Leo Club of Monash University Sunway campus =) (thanks goes out to our past publicity officer Bryan for his help with all the pretty pictures =D )
And the list of members keeps getting bigger!
