Time for update!! :D
As most would notice, during the C & S (Club and Society's) Week, the Leo Club booth had extended tables selling colourful yummy J. Co doughnuts and chrysanthemum tea.
For the benefit of new members of Leo Club of Monash University, the purpose of the sale was part of a project by PAWS to raise funds for Madam Kang Gaik Kee. To provide a very brief history of her, Madam Kang takes care of about 200 dogs on her own in Kamunting, Perak. She is in her late 60s and is extremely devoted to taking care of the stray dogs she takes in. Despite not working and living solely on her pension, she still has the generousity of heart to continue taking care of the dogs and using most of her pension on the dogs.
Therefore, PAWS decided to assist her in her selfless pursuit to take care of unwanted dogs by having a fund raising for her. From the fund raising during the C & S Week, we raised a total of around RM 580 which we plan to purchase dog food, shampoo and possibly some towels to send to Madam Kang for her to upkeep the dogs.
On behalf of PAWS, I would like to extend my thanks to all those who have helped during the fund raising to make it a success as well as to the PAWS members, thank you for the team work and making this possible. :) Also, a special thanks to Leo Sharon for preparing the chrysanthemum tea for us to sell! :D
Here are some of the pictures taken of the fund raising:
Once again, thank you to all that was involved with the fund raising!! :D
