LeoMUSC Health Awareness Week

The Health Awareness Week is back and this time it is held from the 9th until the 16th of May 2011. The OC for this event is Leo Shen Ling, our incoming Treasurer! On the 9th till the 11th, Blood Donation Drive was held in the concourse area.

The target for blood donors was reached.

The place was crowded at noon.

Thank you Lion Jamie for supporting our event!

On the 9th afternoon, the HIV Talk was also held in the concourse area. The purpose of this talk is to raise awareness towards Monash students about HIV.

A representative from the United Nations came to give this talk. Thank you for coming!

On the 10th to the 11th, LeoMUSC invited ISEC to do a free eye screening for Monash students and staff. 

The target audience for this event was also met.

On the 16th, NKF was invited to Monash University to do a health screening.

The participation for this event was remarkably high.

Kudos to Leo Shen Ling and a vote of thanks to everyone who helped and participated in the events! :)

LeoMUSC 4th General Meeting for Semester 1

On the 10 of May 2011, LeoMUSC held their last general meeting for the semester. The results of the election has been announced! Ladies and gentlemen I present you the incoming Board of Directors (BOD) for 2011/2012:

LeoMUSC One Day Getaway to FRIM

On the 8th of May 2011, Tropicana group has organized a one day getaway trip to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). The OC for this event is Leo Yi Zheng. The purpose of this trip is to create awareness about our environment wellbeing, to further increase bonding between Leo members, team-building and leadership skills of individuals, as well as to serve as a getaway for fellow members to refresh and rejuvenate from their studies.

A guide brought us around FRIM while educating participants about the environment.

"Crown Shyness" - a tree which can only be found in FRIM and Irian Jaya.

Members then climbed 1000 feet tall hill (that's around 304.8 meters high!) to have a look at the canopy walk.

There is a mini waterfall that can hardly be seen in this picture.

After lucnh, members played indoor games prepared by the game master, Leo Dinuka.

Then outdoor games.

Then we head back to Monash University. Kudos to the OC, his committee members, and everybody else which participated in this trip!

LeoMUSC Repainting PAWS 2011

On the 22nd and 25th of April 2011, Leo Club of Monash University has organized a trip to PAWS to repaint their walls. The paint was kindly sponsored by Kansai. The OC for this event was Leo Patricia. Here are some pictures taken during the process of repainting the walls.

On the 22nd of April, members went to PAWS for scraping and scrubbing the walls.

On the 25th, members went to PAWS again to paint the walls with paint sponsored by Kansai.

LeoMUSC 3rd General Meetings & Elections

On the 19th of April 2011, Leo Club of Monash University held their 3rd general meeting at Room 9303. The meeting started at 6.30PM as the club needs to meet the quorum for elections.

LeoMUSC Environmental Camp

The Leo Club of Monash University has organized Environmental Camp on the 16th and 17th of April 2011. Lead by the OC, Leo David Cheong, the purpose of the camp is to encourage development and environmental awareness amongst the Monash University students as well to improve on leadership and team building plus a sense of responsibility towards the environment. Below is just a few snippet of the event:
