From Information to Knowledge: Effective Learning in A Digital Age

Hey all,
Remember during the General Meeting of 25/08/2009 I mentioned about Educate 2009? If not, here is a brief overview on it again.

Educate 2009 is "an annual celebration of excellence in teaching, learning and research" (from the flyer attached).
In conjunction with this event, our Monash University Sunway Campus is organising a one-day seminar.
Title : From Information to Knowledge: Effective Learning in A
Digital Age
Date : 29 September 2009, Tuesday (during mid-sem break)
Time : 10am - 12pm
Place : Audi 1, Monash University Sunway Campus
Fee : Free of Charge
All clubs have to send at least 3-4 members to participate in this seminar. So if you are interested, please let me know asap, by 13 September 2009 (Sunday) as we have to register by 14 September 2009 (Monday).

What are the benefits of joining?
  • The presenters are well experienced and highly regarded lecturers from Monash Sunway Campus and Monash Australia here to share their knowledge
  • The seminar is oranised in conjunction with Educate09 for the first time in Sunway Campus with the objective to enhance student learning which will benefit you in your studies
  • The seminar is Free of Charge. The fee for participation offered in seminars like this outsede world would be extremely exorbitant.
  • All participants who participated in the seminar will be awarded a certificate of participation which is an added advantage to you in CV when you go for your interviews. Hehe..
  • Free gifts in goody bags will be given during the summer
  • You will gwt to meet students from other Universities and Colleges.
  • It is an opportunity for you to show your support and feel proud that you are representing Monash in this seminar and play host to the students of other universities and colleges.
  • Lunch will be served after the 2 hour seminar
