Background:
OHSE which stands for Occupational Health, Safety & Environment, was a week jointly organised by Monash University Leo Club, Green Representative Network and Monash University Volunteer Program; all of which are Monash University Clubs. Our club's main theme was RECYCLING.
Objectives:
The objectives which Monash University Leo Club set out to achieve for this event were:
- To raise awareness about recycling in campus
- To educate people about information related to recycling
Details:
For this 2 day event, our club set up 2 booths. the first booth was an exhibition containing interesting facts on recycling and information on where the recycling bins are located in our university. Along with the first booth, there were also examples of recycled items turned into everyday objects.
The second booth that was set-up had 2 games which were made up by the committee. The first game was sorting out items which could be recycled, placing them into the correct sorting boxes and the non-recyclable items in the box marked "non-recyclable". The second game which was set up was a short 5 question Multiple Choice Questions which were based on the information provided on the board. Each player was given 20 seconds to complete the quiz.
As this event was a joint event, the other clubs had game booths of their own. Prizes would be given out to players who won at least 3 games.
