Background:
PAWS (Paws Animal Welfare Society) was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

a connection between participants and animals
- Fellowship among members in the Leo Club
Details:
The members on these two days volunteered to clean cages and to walk dogs. On each day, 2 groups of members were formed and assigned to separate jobs. These tasks included washing dog bowls, cleaning cat cages, taking them for a walk and after having the opportunity to wash the dogs after.
After the volunteering service in PAWS, the volunteers had a fellowship lunch
together in order for the members to relax and chit-chatting after the event
before heading back to Monash University.
